Many heroes and people with prerequisite heroic qualities have existed in our society over the last 100 years. So why is it that we rarely see a transition of those types of people to positions of important leadership? The answer may be that heroes typically make very poor marketers and politicians. The trend seems to have been those who can best act the role that are able to attain these positions, not necessarily those who are the most qualified.
